Brandberg Rest Camp offers self catering and campsite accommodation in Uis, a once booming little mining town in the heart of Damaraland, an unspoilt rural area in Namibia.
Uis lies on the way between Swakopmund and the Etosha Game Reserve.
Brandberg Rest Camp (BRC) offers affordable accommodation in en suite rooms with a/c, self-catering units and a campsite. With its 25m x 12m swimming pool, restaurant, bar and free Wi-Fi facilities this is the closest you will get to an oasis in the area. The BRC is the only place in Uis that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week. The BRC also offers guided tours in Toyota Land Cruisers or guided, self-drive tours in and around the area.
The Brandberg area is popular for its unspoilt beauty and free roaming wildlife, such as the Desert Elephant, Mountain Zebra, Springbok, Kudu etc.
The main attraction is the White Lady, one of more than 45 000 rock paintings in the area. A 1-hour hike will take you to this Bushman painting that is widely agreed to be at least 2 000 years old.
The Brandberg (Burning Mountain) is home to the White Lady and is the highest mountain in Namibia (2 573m/8 441ft).
It is not only famous for the Bushman paintings but also for its diverse geology.

To fully experience the Brandberg area, set aside at least two days on your itinerary and go on one of the tours offered.

Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
